Christmas Season

Tis the season to be merry. And it is working on the Waianae Coast. Everything is progressing very nicely. No smashing successes, just getting better every day. And many people are awakening to the perils of the Rail Disaster. There are good thriving Shopping Centers but the rents seem to be unfairly high. That can certainly stop a lot of people cold. Kokua Mau in Nanakuli had to leave because they raised the rent.

"Christmas waves a magic wand over most of this world, and behold,
everything is softer and more beautiful."

The Beautiful Articulated Bus in Paris. But those civilized countries
do it for the people, not like the few Fat Cats making Billions
and Billions of dollars in Honolulu.

Housing is a little slow but it should be expected because the bedroom community of yesteryear is absolete. Too many people must go outside the area for their needs to work and play. Many are selling because of the Rail Catastrophe. Many still have to go to Kapolei for some purchases, that could be done in another shopping center closer to Nanakuli Avenue.  Fortunately we have the Nanakuli Village Center coming up next year with a Longs Drug to anchor. The prices are very good at Sack N Save and Tamura's Super but a Times Market would fit the bill right about Maili.

There is a Nanakuli Library in progress which will start building in 2015, So that the one big thing lacking is the Business Park. Lualualei is a good beginning. We can live, work in the same place and the play will follow - in our own kuleana and not have to be under the thumbs of the Ivory Towers in Honolulu. Rumors of KMart moving to Waianae. Sounds like a good idea.

There seems to be more people aware of the driverless car and now the driverless bus. That Rail Humbug is for the birds and everyone on the coast seems to realize it. The poor are stuck with it and the Rich are well aware of that. And yes, we know, it's the bread, Fred. It's the money, Sonny.
